| My husband Ron, my mother Janet and myself visited Gangneung to see the Winter Olympics from California. Although it was a long journey we felt most welcomed by all your citizens. During our stay after a late night skating event we got on the wrong bus (line 301?) of the Intercity Pinecity bus line.. I attempted to explain to the driver our dilemma and was assisted by a volunteer Olympic passenger that we needed to get off and hail a taxi. The bus driver took us to the end of the route, let us sit in the Gangneung Station Tourist Center and offered us candy while he called us us a taxi. Instead he took us in his own personal car right to the front door of our hotel!!! He would not accept any money, we tried to thank him in Korean as best we could, our language skills are VERY limited. . That incident gave a whole new meaning to Passion Connected. We have many Americans ask us if at any time we felt scared to travel to South Korea. All we do is repeat this story to assure them South Korea really practices the "Passion Connected" slogan.
